SIP Reduces Oil’s Viscosity, Increasing Production of Oil
Taking into account the variables in the Darcy equation, SIP can only influence two of them, bottom flow pressure (Pwf) and oil viscosity (μo).
When the valve closes the annular space on the surface, bottom flow pressure increases. As shown in the following figure.
SIP INCREASES PUMP EFFICIENCY,
EXTENDS PUMP LIFE & REDUCES DOWNTIME
SIP compresses the erratic gas bubbles and foaming that lead to overheating and overexertion of the pump, thus reducing the need for maintenance to the pump.
SIP creates consistent pump cycles that help deliver more crude to the surface.
SIP eliminates gas lock and, thus, reduces (or eliminates) downtime and the income lost during the halted operation of the well.
